The events run by the Dawlish Carnival Committee are run purely by volunteers and not one member gets paid for the work they undertake.

One of our aims is also to engage and promote community cohesion by providing volunteering opportunities. We are always on the lookout for volunteers whether for Carnival Week or any of the other events organised by the Committee.

You will be the people that work on the ground dealing with the general public. No experience is required to volunteer in general, however you must a willingness to learn, be able to follow rules and instructions, be able to follow safety procedure, show common sense and deal effectively with the public.

As a volunteer you have the option for working for as many or as few hours as you wish. You  must be available to attend the event briefing.

The following opportunities are available:

  • Crowd Marshals

  • Litter Pickers

  • First Aiders

  • Stall Helpers

  • Event Organisers

  • Float Walkers

  • much much more!
